The Final....

1. What advice would you give to a student starting their interactive resume project?

Take the planning seriously, even if you have no idea what you want it to look like. It’s the theme or concept that is gained from planning.

2. What would you add or remove from the interactive resume project.

I would add lessons before the design process. It would have been beneficial to students to learn more before getting started. I know a few people would have loved to have some 3D lessons before starting the project

3. What would you change about the capstone project?

Communicate the fact that it should be closely related to the theme of the interactive resume. To me it wasn’t a problem, because the planning of my interactive resume and capstone were based on the same thing: my interests.

4. What did you learn about yourself as an interactive media designer over the past two years?

I am a fanatic lunatic that is obsessive over 3D art. JTruthfully, I discovered I am more creative than I give myself credit for, and I have the ability to learn anything within the media field.

5. Do you feel that your experience in IMD will help you in the future?

I am a fanatic lunatic that is obsessive over 3D art. J

Interactive Resume Day 33

Today I worked on some of the textures for two of my menus. I used UVW map to ajust and size the various materials in the scene. I plan on texturing the apache crash site next then finish up the finish menu, which is the abandoned underground bunker.

Interactive Resume day 31

Progressed further with the radio tower. Still got to work on the top, the shapes in place at the moment are FPO. After I'm done with the geometry, I'll import the laptop and a computer console. Then I'll arrange the scene with a camera for the 3rd menu. Then I'll work on 4th menu, which is the abandoned bunker.

Interactive Resume Day 30

I started on the scenery of the 3rd menu. It will consist of a "slighty-futuristic" comm array. I plan on getting rid of the pointy tops and make the structure abit more rugged. Then I'll work on the cross beams and then camera position.

Interactive Resume Day 29

I merged the laptop file into crash site and which the menu will be shown. Took awhile to align the pivot point to where I can animate the laptop opening. I ended up using the WP pivot point. Once I get the wire modeled I can animate the intro.

Interactive Resume Day 28

Working on the second scene, where the crashed helicopter has landed and about to receive the scavenging treatment. The laptop will superimpose infront of the helicopter on the right side. This will show intel being gathered from the helicopter via wired connection and sent back to headquaters. I used various deformiable modifiers to Matt's helicopter to give it the "RPG treatment". I used detach for the propeller that sticks out of the ground.
